It's that time of year when we all make our new year's resolution. At Mommy Pilots 99s, we realize, as a mom, it can be overwhelming once the glitz and glamour of January 1st is behind us and the reality of those resolutions we made settle in. Self doubt starts to creep in... mom guilt... no support... financially strained... You're not alone!!
We're here to help. What Mommy Pilots of The Ninety-Nines offers: 1. Join our Mommy Pilots Chapter of the 99s to be a part of kick butt group, if we may, of women who are moms and want to be moms. Our members are student pilots, private pilots, commercial pilots, instructor pilots, corporate pilots, airline and military pilots. These ladies have met many challenges and obstacles to reach their dreams. Our chapter can provide you with inspiration and encouragement through our chapter Facebook page, virtual online video conference meetings, our (future) physical meet ups, and more!
2. Financially stuck? You're in luck! We offer a $1000 Mommy Pilots Scholarship. It can be applied toward any rating, aviation course, etc. Applications are currently being accepted as of this post. Due March 15, 2018. Please visit our scholarship page of this website to learn more.
3. Need guidance? How about a friend who is just a phone call, text, or email away? We have an informal Mommy Pilots Guide program that literally connects you with a 99 who can help direct you toward your goal; to help keep you motivated...like a gym partner. Need something more formal? The Ninety-Nines also offers a Professional Pilot Leadership Initiative (PPLI) mentor-ship program. Please see links at the bottom of this post for more information.
4. Network - Network - Network. As a 99 and a Mommy Pilots Chapter member you are a part of an international organization of women pilots. Not only are we all pilots, but every member has a unique life experience and occupations vary from stay-at-home-moms to professional pilots to artists to doctors to lawyers to teachers to scientists to astronauts and beyond. You can attend chapter meetings, section meetings, and international conferences. We're pretty sure you will meet someone who will turn into a life long friend and may help you find that instructor or job for which you've been searching.
5. A friend wherever you may go. Ninety-Nines are all over the world! Many 99s will happily open their homes for transient 99s, meet for lunch, offer aid during a natural disaster, and much more.
